About the Event

Southport Village Holiday Weekend:  December 9-12

  • THURSDAY:  Santa Comes to Southport on his Firetruck at Spic & Span at 5:00pm  Popcorn balls, photos with Santa and caroling led by Southport Congregational Church
  • FRIDAY:  Pequot Library Caroling Party 5:00-7:00pm Horse-drawn carriage rides, singing, craft-making
  • SATURDAY: Shop & Stroll to Music in Town 10:00-5:00pm Holiday values & treats in our specialty stores, with  music hosted by Pathos Entertainment starting at Noon outside The Russell Insurance Agency

         12:00 The CUkes ukulele band

         1:00  Saxophonist Jason Fitch

         2:00  The Coastal Chordsmen and Coastal Harmony,  coed acapella group in the tradition of barbershop quartets


           Saturday Noon - 3:00pm:  Local historian Richard “Deej” Webb will be on hand to share Southport history 

           and provide tours of the grounds of the 1796 Robinson Cottage

In the spirit of giving, Trinity Episcopal Church will host a food drive on Saturday from 10:00-5:00pm, asking for donations of shelf-stable healthy food, which will be taken to one of two food pantries: Operation Hope in Fairfield and St. John's Episcopal Church in Bridgeport. Drop off will be in front of The Russell Agency.

  • SUNDAY:  Carol Lights at Trinity Church at 4:00pm  Sing along with friends & neighbors around the bonfire and luminaries on Trinity's front lawn
